The Waitakere electorate is a fusion of suburban, rural and coastal areas from the beach settlements of Bethells Beach and Karekare to the western suburbs of Ranui, Henderson and Glendene west. It also includes the beautiful and rugged Piha which has a special place in my heart.

I live in West Auckland because I love the west. I am passionate about the people and want the best for the community. No one cares more about this Electorate than a local like me.

In September 2005 I was honoured to become a National Member of Parliament. After three years in opposition as a list MP the public of Waitakere chose me as their electorate MP to represent them in Wellington.

As MP for Waitakere my job has been to make sure that the views and concerns of West Aucklanders are listened to. West Aucklanders want a fair deal and it is my job to make sure they get it.
